EU and Georgia discuss progress of reforms at meeting in Brussels

On 21 November, European Commissioners, headed by President Jean-Claude Juncker, met in Brussels with members of the Government of Georgia, led by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.

According to the EU, this high-level meeting takes place amid flourishing relations between the EU and Georgia, both on a bilateral basis and in the context of the Eastern Partnership initiative.

The meeting focused on the overall progress in the relationship between the two partners. Separate sessions focussed on three sectoral clusters and brought together the relevant members of the Juncker Commission and the Georgian government to outline concrete ways of increasing and enhancing cooperation in these specific areas
