CHALLENGE CALLS

Challenges_call_edited.jpg

“We must co-learn. As for innovation, the South inspires the North”.

Rémy Rioux, CEO of the French development agency AFD

Challenge calls are an innovative and cost-effective process to source solutions from the community of innovators to address industrial or social issues of enterprises and local authorities, members of THE NEXT SOCIETY Club.

You are a corporate and you are interested in innovation in your business sector? Join THE NEXT SOCIETY Club to challenge THE NEXT SOCIETY innovators and solve your technological, social and environmental issues! Challenges are a cost-effective way to source innovation, to support entrepreneurship and to drive innovators towards market demand to reduce failures.

  • You define your challenge and associated reward: financial or moral/non-financial (training, job offer, partnership, etc.)
  • We post a call for applications on THE NEXT SOCIETY platform and disseminate it to THE NEXT SOCIETY community; and we process applications received from start-ups, entrepreneurs and researchers
  • You assess pre-selected solutions to decide if your challenge is solved indeed!

You are a start-up, an entrepreneur, a researcher or a TTOmanager and you have developed technologies that may be of interest to a business? Keep an eye on our challenge calls: they may bring you the perfect opportunity to test your solution, boost your track record and transfer your innovation towards industry!
THE NEXT SOCIETY challenges are managed in team with our great partner Yomken : have a look at their CrowdSolving Platform here.

Our first challenge is open: 0 plastic waste in the Mediterranean in 2030!

Who is launching the challenge?
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region in France

For whom?
Everyone: companies, students, researchers, associations… Any solution reducing the quantity of plastic pollutants in the Mediterranean and carried out at least partially in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region in France is eligible, whatever its level of maturity.

What is the reward?
2 winners will receive 5,000 Euros for the 1st project and 2,000 Euros for the second, and a tailor-made support to accelerate their project within a structure of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region (or remotely for international project leaders).

How to participate?
Download the rules and application form and send your application before 21 January 2019, 23:00 (UTC+1).
15 pre-selected projects will participate in a bootcamp in March 2019, resulting in the selection of the 5 finalist projects. The final will take place at The Camp on April 24, 2019 and the awards ceremony will be held at VivaTech 2019.
